On Saturday, March 31, 2012, Rev. Lionel and Sister Tammie Aaron held a church vision meeting to share the divine inspiration that God had placed in the heart of Rev. Aaron. This inspiration was to plant a church in Northwest Houston, Harris County, Texas.
A list of 26 family members, friends, and acquaintances was compiled, and invitations to the vision meeting were sent out. Approximately 12 potential founders attended as Rev. Aaron shared the vision for True Vision Baptist Church. Those present were encouraged to pray about whether they would become part of this new church.
On Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 1:00 PM, an official meeting of record was held for all potential founding members at the home of Rev. Lionel and Tammie Aaron. The following individuals formally voted to establish True Vision Baptist Church:
At 1:50 PM, on a motion by Brother Anderson and seconded by Brother Thomas, True Vision Baptist Church was officially established. At this meeting, Rev. Lionel Aaron was also voted in as pastor. His first duty was to appoint a Board of Directors consisting of Brother Goree Anderson, Brother Robert L. Thomas Jr., and Sister Tammie Aaron, who also served as the Historian of Record. The meeting concluded with a proposal to search for a location to hold church services, with the first service scheduled for Sunday, May 6, 2012. The Church Constitution and By-Laws were later proposed and adopted.
On Thursday, April 12, 2012, True Vision held its first Bible Study in the home of Pastor and Sister Aaron.
On Saturday, May 5, 2012, Rev. Lionel Aaron was ordained and installed by Rev. Allen O. Aaron, Pastor of Family Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
On Sunday, May 6, 2012, True Vision held its first church service at the Huntington Park Recreation Center, located at 4444 Victory in Houston, Texas.

Over the past 12 years, God has been exceedingly good to True Vision Baptist Church. Today, True Vision stands as a debt-free, financially sound, and spiritually growing church. While many visitors and members have come and gone, God’s blessings and favor have remained constant.
Therefore, we, the True Vision Baptist Church Family, give thanks to God for His blessings, His sustenance, and His guidance. It is our continuous prayer that God will use True Vision Baptist Church mightily for His Kingdom.
